What We Offer

Back on Track - Employment Program

Did you know that 15 percent of young adults don’t finish post-secondary education? Often this is due to struggles with mental health. Lots of young adults have a hard time transitioning into college, university and work life. We know that people also face stigma and discrimination in the search for employment. The unemployment rate for people living with depression and anxiety is as high as 30 percent.

At Stella’s Place, we want to help young adults who are entering the workplace or college, and who are leaving college or university find meaningful employment. Doing work that matches your goals and abilities is key to health, wellbeing and identity.

At Stella’s Place we offer an evidence-based supported education and employment program that helps you find work or go back to school. Our peer supporters work with community partners to support young adults through their transition to work.

Employment specialists will help you choose the right type of work and find an opportunity to use your skills and gain new ones. Peer supporters will help you figure out how to use your strengths, what is expected of you, the culture of your new workplace, and how to solve problems.
