Make a lasting impact on the lives of young adults
A gift of publicly traded securities can be an advantageous way for you to make a gift to Stella’s Place as it eliminates the capital gains tax you would pay if you sold the securities, and donated the cash proceeds instead.
To make a gift of securities:
- Consult with your financial advisor to determine how gifting securities can meet your philanthropic goals to support young adult mental health services at Stella’s Place.
2. Download and complete the Gift of Securities Form which provides instructions for your broker.
3. Mail or email a copy of the completed form to Maureen Lewis, Chief Development Officer. Once the transfer is completed, a tax receipt for the value of the shares on the day of transfer will be provided.
