As a means of limiting the circulation of the COVID-19 virus and to help protect those that are most vulnerable, the site at 18 Camden Street is closed.

Accessing Services
Book an initial appointment
If you are interested in exploring what programs may be helpful for you and are interested in learning more about how we can support you, an appointment with one of our Access team members may be a helpful starting point.
You will notice that many of our programs do NOT require a formal registration and can be accessed the same day. These programs are found under the “drop-in programs” section of this page. Programs that do require an appointment with our access team before they can be accessed are found under the “registered programs” section of this page.
During this time of social distancing appointments will be held over the phone with one of our Access team members.
If you would like to meet with one of our Access team members to learn more about how we can support you and complete an intake for registered program please click the link below and complete the online form. Once submitted a Stella’s Place team member will be in contact with you.

Virtual Fitness Group

Approximately 45 minutes of movement guided by external facilitators from Common Ground 416 and Lululemon. There will be time for a check-in, warm up, cool down and stretch, and check-out. Folks will need a secure internet connection to join. Exercise equipment including weights or a yoga mat are not needed. All levels welcome. Participants can decide if they want their camera on or off. Folks can sign up on the same day by emailing [email protected]

Registered Programming
** Intake Appointment Required**
Individual Counselling
Monday-Friday by appointment. Participants will meet with the same clinician for 6 consecutive sessions that take place every 1 to 2 weeks. Sessions are 50 minutes long.
The short term individual counselling approach at Stella’s Place is integrative drawing primarily from Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (FACT). FACT is a brief version of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and is an effective treatment for many mental health challenges. In a FACT approach, participants are viewed as “stuck, not broken”and treatment targets one primary issue, which is collaboratively selected by participant and clinician. Clinicians introduce experiential interventions during sessions to increase participant awareness, skillfulness, and encourage application beyond sessions. FACT supports individuals in taking values-based actions while coping flexibly and effectively with difficult challenges, thoughts, memories, and emotions.
One-to-One Peer Support

You can still connect with our Peer Supporters remotely!
The individual peer support program offers participants an invitation to receive intentional peer support services from one of our Peer Supporters. In this program, Participants work collaboratively with Peer Supporters who intentionally draw from their lived experience to support participants’ mental health. This program is intended to help increase independence, enhance coping strategies, help participants navigate through various Stella’s Place programming and offer support while participants on a waitlist for registered programming.
DBT Skills
Registration for future groups is open.
Learn to apply Dialectical Behavioural Therapy Skills to your life. You will learn how to identify and cope with your emotions, how to manage difficult situations, and how to build communication skills with family and friends.
