lululemon waterfront 10k run promo

lululemon Waterfront 10k Promo

On June 16th, thousands of people will be running for young adult mental health and Stella’s Place in the Toronto Waterfront 10k. Thanks to the title sponsor, lululemon athletica, Stella’s Place was selected as a recipient charity for proceeds from this run. Participants can top up their registration fees with a donation and many have chosen to do just that. We are humbled by the generosity of strangers and encouraged to see that the mental health of our young people is so important to the running community.

The lululemon store on Queen Street West has partnered with Stella’s Place and is offering free yoga and fitness classes for Stella’s Place participants on their premises. 13 participants and staff from these programs have decided to attempt the 10k, a big boost to confidence and morale for all. As a result, other staff at Stella’s Place started running, too!

Our team of runners will be cheered on and welcomed by an equally enthusiastic team of volunteers at the finish line. Staff members, their families, and committed Stella’s Place supporters will be rolling out of bed early that morning to be on their volunteer posts before 7 am.

What is more, Apple Inc.’s Burlington group has decided to support us too. Not only are they encouraging their employees to volunteer but they will donate $66 per hour to Stella’s Place for every volunteer hour worked.

We are grateful for the outpouring of support and would like to thank everyone involved. Click here to learn more about the Waterfront 10k and how you can sponsor a participant or charity.
